> What Software Shortlist says about SugarCRM:

SugarCRM’s latest version (6), released in July 2010, provides a significantly improved user interface and ‘one click’ ergonomics.

Key strengths of SugarCRM include:

  • Well supported
  • Flexible to customize
  • Quick to set up

Using modern web architecture, additional screens overlay parent screen making it easy to add, edit, schedule items without getting lost. The format makes it exceptionally easy to customize the data you want to view on home page, tracker pages.

Sugar Enterprise provides all the features of a full function CRM complete with plug-ins for Microsoft Office and Customer portal. Complete set of sales, marketing, support and internal collaboration tools with fully integrated graphics and report templates. Sugar’s Professional Version provides a reasonably full feature set at an attractive and competitive user price and this can be updated to the full feature Enterprise version. The Free Community version is as basic as it gets, though, and it offers limited value to a serious CRM user.

Similar to Salesforce.com, SugarCRM offers Exchange Apps, custom modules that can be added to the base program. Great set up options including dedicated ‘Jumpstart’ guidance.

SugarCRM is offered in 3 versions - Community Edition for free; Professional Edition for $30/user/month; and the Enterprise Edition for $50/user/month. The Professional version is an exceptionally well featured offering, with the Enterprise edition providing only marginal value for the extra $20 per user per month
