> What Software Shortlist says about Adobe Connect:

Adobe Connect is one of the best learning management system for blending content delivery and learning.

Key strengths of Adobe Connect include:

  • Easy to use
  • Low cost
  • Quick to set up

If you're facilitating courses with an instructor in a different geographical location than students (and even administrators), this is the tool you should use. Adobe Connect offers streamlined and seamless virtual classrooms and online meetings. Virtual classrooms include features like attendee lists, screen shares, chats, notes, audio, video casts (camera), polls, whiteboards, file share, hand raise, and user statuses. This tool provides all the functionality characteristic of a learning management system completely geared toward blending traditional, instructor-led delivery with new eLearning technologies.

This product is hard to fault; however, with all the attention on blended learning, organizations with more computer-based training (CBT) may not find this product sufficient in meeting requirements and needs. Adobe Connect does offer functionality for CBT courses, but the main reason to purchase it is the blended learning tools.

There are three typical pricing plans for Adobe Connect: Annual Plan, Monthly Plan, and Pay-per-Use Plan. Each of the plans have a cap of 9 hosts (i.e., instructors, teachers) and each one can host up-to 100 attendees. The Annual Plan costs $45.00/month/host; the Monthly Plan costs $55.00/month/host; and the Pay-Per-Use Plan costs $0.32/minute/user (attendee). If you require more than 9 hosts, you will need to contact Adobe for pricing.
