Jill Of All Trades was incorporated in 1989 and was formed to provide high quality training and management consulting services to organisations requiring implementation of in-house systems & procedures, compliance with accounting procedures, product knowledge to maximize staff and management performance.
Since then the company has been involved in several "Add-On-Solutions" in software development, implementation and training, particularly for financial and accounting systems of all sizes, as well as developing an impressive client list of companies of all sizes and complexities.
The business has worked in conjunction with many strategic partners and provides a consulting service to clientele in all parts of Australia and overseas.
Gillian is highly experienced in a diverse range of accounting applications – working closely with you and your accountant during implementation from manual to computerised systems. |

CONSULTING SERVICES
With an impressive track record spanning over 35 years in IT and Software Training, JOAT provides software solutions for web based applications and off the shelf software to meet the exact requirements of clients, providing high quality, cost effective software solutions. Delivering a service which empowers you to take control of your own finances and manage your sales, inventory and POS systems with confidence using a range of Web Based Accounting & Payroll Applications, MYOB Accounting, and POS software solutions.
Jill Of All Trades has been specialising in MYOB Accounting Software since 1992 and has recently become a Xero Professional Partner. Other applications include; WEBpayroll, Paycycle, SimPro (Web-based apps); Alchemex BI; MX Contact; You Grow CRM; and a comprehensive range of Add-On-Solutions compatible within Xero Online Accounting and the MYOB suite of products.
On-site consulting and an overview of your systems to assess business processes and operating systems, to provide an analysis of current Accounting Systems and /or Software and its delivery to meeting the needs of your business. Ultimately, to ensure that your accounting system and software is operating efficiently and is being operated efficiently.
It is our aim to ensure clients receive the best possible service and end result to satisfy even the most challenging request. Client commitment includes forging long-term relationships, providing support, product upgrades and maintenance to meet clients’ current and future needs.
BOOKKEEPING SERVICES
After initial consultation to determine your personalised terms of engagement, we will be happy to provide a Bookkeeping Service to you.
This can be done on-site at your place of business, or you can arrange to deliver the relevant paperwork for completion at our offices.
We will be happy to discuss any additional needs you have over and above the standard tasks, however depending on the level of complexity and responsibility involved there may be need to negotiate a personalised hourly rate for your business.
PRODUCT TRAINING
As a Certified Consultant & Professional Partner within the range of products supported, regular attendance via on-line training using Skype, webinars and hands-on workshops, breakfast seminars & user group sessions, product update training seminars ensures Gillian is on top of what is happening in the accounting & software industry.
Recently attended Xero Online Accounting Partner Conference in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand (Jan 2010).
This occasion was exclusive to a select group of accountants and consultants. CEO Xero Rod Drury presented up and coming releases for Xero.
Participation since 2005, in MYOB’s Partner Briefing & Professional Partner Programme, annual national conference seminars conducted in Brisbane CBD & more recently on the Gold Coast. Jill Of All Trades prides itself in its advanced use of internet technology which includes peer-to-peer services, remote access and product webinars. In November 2007, attended a four day MYOB USA Partner Conference in New Orleans, USA, networking with USA MYOB Certified Consultants, MYOB USA Senior Management, Software Developers.

Jill Of All Trades has found many companies require more complex reporting, additional functionality and features, still maintaining their accounting software, researches for a suitable “Add-On-Solution, working closely with the client and developer to ensure a smooth transition.
Products have assisted with implementation for clients running Desktop Software/Accounting:
POINT OF SALE
- POS : Unisoft –installed in a small furniture business on Gold Coast in 2007 – ran tests and provided remote support via Log-Me-In ; onsite training and support; liaised with developer in South Africa when changes were required. These were logged thru remote access with developer, client, the client’s IT support person and myself.
-Assisted with POS – Hire software specifically designed for Hire industry – contracted specialist to write program and assisted with implementation into company in Goodna, Qld, Australia.
- Sourced company to design specialised Add On Solution for small radiator business on Gold Coast, Qld, Australia where software integrates into MYOB. Ongoing support and liaison with developer and client with feature/product releases.
- Retail Manager – MYOB POS – Attended workshops to better familiarise trouble shooting and support for clients using this software
CRM
- MX Contact; attended extensive training seminars for product knowledge; implemented CRM system running on MS Seq Server and MS Exchange into my own business, performed demonstrations for potential clients. I use MX Contact within my own organisation operates within MS Outlook.
- You Grow; CRM Software attended one full day training session and further product knowledge sessions.
- MYOB CLIENT CONNECT
Installed Client Connect within my own organisation for beta testing and evaluation.
WEB BASED APPLICATIONS
- Xero Online Accounting - recently commissioned by an accounting firm on Gold Coast where implementation of Xero was required, setup, merged & integrated client information, client trained on-line and ready for use within 48 hrs of intial consultation. - Time-Site; web based time clocking system, attended ˝ day conference with hands on solutions and implemented into my own business
- Time Tracking; installed and tested system for product knowledge and ongoing training
- Bijingo; product development, job costing and time management system – on going training and implementation into own business for product knowledge.
- Webpayroll; An excellent user friendly web-based payroll system which is fully ATO compliant,employee portal for payslips, superannuation & employee address info, iPhone support. Completed Beta testing in Jan 2010 for all necessary features & integrates into Xero Online accounting seemlessly. - Paycycle; Small business payroll online, another nice slick product with easy quick import features using existing staff/payroll information. Product includes tracking staff entitlements,allowances and superannuation. Payslips generated and integrates effortlessly into Xero Online Accounting. BUSINESS INTELLEGENCE/REPORTING
- Alchemex Pty Ltd; extensive product training utilising specialised reporting functionalities, attend training via Webinar and Skype, learning to create specialised reporting functions for clients requiring that little extra where their current software has limitations in some features in reporting tools. Also learning advanced Excel thru same company – have registered for training to enable myself to become a certified partner thru Alchemex. I have demonstrated the "wonders of BI using Alchemex" to a number of clients seeking advanced reporting functions not found in their accountng software. http://www.alchemex.com

GILLIAN ROSSOUW - FOUNDER
Gillian is an established software consultant. She has an extensive portfolio of experience in software training, support and trouble shooting both on PC’s, IBM System 36, Burroughs B20, & Wang Speed 1 & 11 Main Frames, IT management/ systems implementation and a comprehensive range of software resources and products.
Since inception in 1989, Gillian has worked closely with accounting firms to oversee their client’s year end, quarterly and monthly accounting procedures to ensure these are correctly implemented.
Gillian's certifications with various software vendors include:
* MYOB Australia Professional Partner since 2005.
* Quickbooks Professional Partner since 2008
* Xero Online Accounting Jan 2010
As a certified consultant, Gillian participates in professional partner training programmes on a regular basis. Priding herself in advanced use of internet technology including peer-to-peer services and remote access/training.
PAST ACHIEVEMENTS
Gillian worked for Ford Motor Company, Port Elizabeth, South Africa for 16 years in the computer department as EDP Systems Supervisor and on a Special Assignment as Product Change Analysis Supervisor assisting with the implementation of the company’s manual controlled systems in Pre-Production Control, Engineering and Finance Departments, to computerised Bill Of Materials with direct link to Ford USA/UK/Germany and Ford Dealers nationwide before emigrating to Hamilton, New Zealand in 1986, where she supervised the EDP Systems & Operations of a General Motors Dealership, and consulted as EDP Systems Supervisor to the Waikato University, Hamilton, New Zealand.
Upon her arrival on the Gold Coast in 1988 she was aware that there was a niche in the market place for serviced offices with access to computers, software applications and recruitment services. Jill Of All Trades was borne from her vision to provide a professional yet friendly service in bookkeeping, secretarial, and computer training services to a diverse range of companies and clientele.
A second office was set up in Brisbane where her daughter Wendy serviced the legal overload and secretarial side of the business with Gillian concentrating on the sales, installation and training of accounting software.
In 1996, Jill Of All Trades, Gold Coast was nominee for the 1996 Telstra Business Women’s Awards and the Brisbane office, nominee for Quest Business Achiever of the Year award, also chosen as an ambassador for Big Colour Pages advertising and marketing campaign that was televised throughout Australia. |
