Benchmark focuses on ease of use and speed. Getting your campaign out of the door requires a minimum number of hoops to jump through. If speed is your criteria then Benchmark will fit the bill.
What we liked: Fast and responsive is what comes to mind. Coupled with ease of use Benchmark eliminated almost any ambiguity in getting the basics done. The workflow was easy and intuitive and we had a basic campaign ready to send in minutes. The WYSIWIG editor was dead simple to use and we could customize our newsletter with hardly any fuss. Powerful segmentation capabilities enable you to target subscribers based on their campaign behaviour and not just demographic data. We also liked the integrated support for surveys and polls. These are going to gain more importance in the coming days. When facing tough competition in your markets, surveys and polls enable you to gain that extra edge in gathering market intelligence, courting customer feedback, and testing list health. Benchmark gives you that edge out of the box.
What we didn’t like: For an email system that is almost complete in every respect, lack of conversion and ROI integration is somewhat of a dampener. We would also have liked more flexibility in our ability to define the Google Analytics campaign tracking URL tags.
In summary: A fast, lightweight, easy to use system. You can get your first campaign out of the door in record time. Lacks ROI tracking. Overall, we give Benchmark 5 stars.
